Baby who weighed 16 pounds in 1983 is now an adult and still known for his huge size

In 1983, an extraordinary tale unfolded with the arrival of Patricia Clarke’s second child. At 24 years old, Patricia sensed her baby might be on the larger side, given her family’s reputation for hefty newborns. Little did she know just how significant this would be.

Her son, Kevin Robert Clark, made his entrance into the world weighing over 16 pounds, setting records as possibly the largest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital and quite conceivably in all of New Jersey. Kevin’s size immediately captured attention, rendering him too large for conventional baby paraphernalia, yet thankfully healthy.

Kevin’s colossal proportions became a nationwide fascination, landing him appearances on notable TV programs like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America”.

But Kevin’s growth trajectory didn’t plateau there. By age 12, he towered at 5 feet 7 inches, and his height continued to soar, reaching 6 feet 5 inches in junior high. Despite the constant attention, Kevin maintained a good-natured outlook, often quipping, “I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”

Fast forward to today, Kevin is 39 years old and stands an impressive 6 feet 9 inches tall. A former military serviceman, he shares his life with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane. Kevin has embraced his unique stature, finding comfort in standing out from the crowd.

His journey has been one of navigating public scrutiny with grace, yet he remains unshaken. Kevin serves as a shining example of embracing one’s uniqueness and living with unwavering confidence. His story is undeniably inspiring, and we extend our heartfelt wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors.
